March 19, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Officers continue training reservists as part of a comprehensive drill, the Belarusian defense ministry reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Instructors teach reservists how to prepare for combat, fight in trenches, throw hand grenades, move around the battlefield and fire from behind cover at one of the country’s ranges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Having observed the special military operation, we can say that modern combat has become more rapid,” the ministry quoted an unnamed military instructor as saying. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

“It is conducted at short distances of 50\u2013300 meters. Servicemen’s movement on the battlefield, their ability to hold weapons properly and group together is an important component of combat.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It is reported that reservists practice in small tactical groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On March 17, the ministry said more than 3,000 reservists were called up for a combat readiness drill. By March 19, the number has increased by 2,000.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russian and Belarusian officials refer to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine a “special military operation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n
