April 7, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Ukraine will strengthen its border with Belarus despite a lack of “threats or potential” for another attack from the Belarusian direction, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told weukraine.tv in an interview broadcast on Saturday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyiv projected three strong defense lines with anti-tank obstacles and ditches on its border with Belarus and did not keep their construction secret, he said. If Ukraine is attacked again from the territory of Belarus, there will be resistance, the Ukrainian leader added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In February 2022, Russia started a full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supported the Kremlin and allowed Russian troops to attack Ukraine from Belarus on multiple occasions. Still, Ukraine did not launch retaliatory strikes on the Belarusian territories.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kyiv has been reporting regularly on strengthening its border with Belarus, equipping defensive points and setting up mine barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
