{"id":78457,"date":"2024-04-09T13:03:30","date_gmt":"2024-04-09T10:03:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/78457\/"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"exiled-business-association-offers-vilnius-help-in-assessing-sanction-evasion-risks","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/78457\/","title":{"rendered":"Exiled business association offers Vilnius help in assessing sanction evasion risks"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>April 9, <em>Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The Association of Belarusian Business Abroad (ABBA) can help Lithuanian authorities assess sanction evasion risks, its vice-president Maryna Hiryn has told participants of the 3rd Belarusian Business Forum in Vilnius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>ABBA has developed and successfully implemented an internal verification procedure to separate honest businesses from dishonest ones to make sure its members do not help authorities in Minsk and Moscow to evade sanctions, she noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Our association understands and shares the concerns and fears of Lithuanians,&#8221; she added, noting that Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka\u2019s and Vladimir Putin\u2019s regimes are trying to sow distrust and divide Belarusians and Lithuanians.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dska urged the forum participants to lay the foundations for a viable economy of a new Belarus by pursuing honest business practices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Founded in August 2021, ABBA declared its aim to help &#8220;honest businesses with Belarusian roots relocate, open, and develop in democratic countries.&#8221;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Its head Ja\u016dhien Bury served with the Belarusian Security Council until 2019, but later sided with the opposition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Belarusian authorities branded ABBA an extremist group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Also read: <a href=\"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/49980\/\">Exiled Belarusian business association opens office in Silicon Valley<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>April 9, Pozirk.
