April 13, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Greece supports Belarusians\u2019 aspirations for democracy and human rights, President Katerina Sakellaropoulou has told \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja, Kathimerini<\/a><\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At a meeting at the Presidential Mansion in Athens, the exiled Belarusian opposition leader briefed Sakellaropoulou on the situation in her country and the need for solidarity with her people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cichano\u016dskaja recalled at the meeting that three years ago Belarusian security services forced a Ryanair flight en route from Athens to Vilnius to land in Minsk, her aide, Franak Via\u010dorka, told Pozirk<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

She stressed that Belarusian officials should be held accountable for the incident and for involvement in the transfers of Ukrainian children to Belarus, where they are exposed to indoctrination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian politician discussed the legalization of exiled Belarusians in Greece, including paperwork and expired passports, and recuperation programs for children of political prisoners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
