April 16, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Real disposable income (adjusted for inflation) rose by 7.8 percent year on year in the first two months of 2024, the National Statistics Committee (Bie\u0142stat) reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Last year, real income grew by 6.3 percent after falling 3.6 percent in 2022.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusians\u2019 nominal average pay before taxes amounted to 2,026 rubels in February (about $624), up 1.7 percent from January. However, it dropped 10.8 percent from December 2023.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Consumer prices rose by 1.7 percent since the start of 2024 and by 5.6 percent year on year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The government projected a 3.5-percent increase in real income and a 3.9-percent increase in real pay in 2024. Nominal average pay is projected to rise to 2,087 rubels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
