April 21, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Servicemen have prepared themselves for their assigned tasks and practiced special tactics during an exercise by mobile groups, the Belarusian State Border Committee reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was held on April 12\u201320 in all border guard units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The special tactics involved ambush operations and the elimination of sabotage and reconnaissance groups “in open areas and in buildings.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under near-real conditions, the border guards marched many kilometers on foot, practiced combat tactics, repelled attacks on a field camp, assisted “victims” and evacuated them, according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Practicing measures to camouflage a unit, ensure its safety and guard the camp was an important element of the drill, the committee said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The mobile groups conducted the field exercise as part of a “check on border guard authorities by the Security Council’s state secretariat.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their performance was \u201cpositively evaluated,\u201d according to the report.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
