April 22, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Mehdi Jafar, a deputy defense minister and rector of the Malek Ashtar University of Technology, has arrived in Minsk, the head of Belarus’ international military cooperation department Valeryj Ravienka said yesterday.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During his visit, he will stop by a number of scientific institutions of the Armed Forces and the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Belarus,” Ravienka said<\/a> on X.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Late on April 13, Iran conducted a five-hour airstrike on Israel. The Israel Defense Forces reported the launch of 120 ballistic missiles, 30 cruise missiles and over 170 drones. Israel\u2019s air defenses, aided by the United States, Jordan and other nations, reportedly intercepted 99 percent of the threats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Experts deemed the Iranian attack a failure because of Israel\u2019s technological superiority. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, the Belarusian foreign ministry expressed concern, while Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja condemned Iran’s actions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Middle East remains tense since Hamas militants crossed into Israel from Gaza, bringing about casualties and an Israeli military response.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
