April 29, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Former central bank governor Nadzieja Jermakova will oversee “civil society and the preservation of its harmony” as a member of the All-Belarusian People’s Assembly (UNS) presidium, the assembly’s deputy chairman Alaksandar Kosiniec told state media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Vadzim Bohu\u0161, rector of the Belarusian State University of Information Technologies and Radioelectronics, will be responsible for “education, youth policy and continuity of generations,” Kosiniec said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Maryna Lan\u010de\u016dskaja, a senior MP, will deal with “legislation and the implementation of laws and legal acts issued by the legislative and executive authorities.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Kosiniec made his remarks after he and UNS secretariat head Valer Mackievi\u010d presented<\/a> their joint report to Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka “via intercom.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u0141uka\u0161enka, according to his press office, ordered that officials “build a top-down system of working with UNS delegates.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jermakova, 71, a native of the Mahilo\u016d region’s Chocimsk district, chaired the National Bank board in 2011\u20132014. Earlier, she was deputy chair and chair of the board of Bie\u0142arusbank.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In 2020, the central bank appointed an administrator to Bie\u0142hazprambank after its head Viktar Babaryka announced his presidential bid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jermakova headed the bank from January to July 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jermakova is a deputy chair of the Bie\u0142investbank supervisory board, which she joined in October 2021 as a non-executive director. She is also a member of the pro-government Bie\u0142aja Ru\u015b party.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
