{"id":831,"date":"2023-08-31T17:24:00","date_gmt":"2023-08-31T14:24:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/api.pozirk.online\/?post_type=articles&#038;p=831"},"modified":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T20:10:49","slug":"kgb-blacklists-two-men-as-terrorists","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/831\/","title":{"rendered":"KGB blacklists two men as terrorists"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>August 31,&nbsp;<em>BPN.<\/em>&nbsp;<\/strong>Belarus&#8217; Committee for State Security (KGB) has added two people to its terrorism list after human rights groups branded them as political prisoners earlier this summer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities accused Siarhiej Hunia from Mazyr, Homiel region, and Pavie\u0142 Pietru\u010denia from Brest of inciting hatred.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rights activists said Hunia was arrested in June for his online remarks and contacts with independent Telegram channels. He has already been sentenced, the KGB said, without describing the punishment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pietru\u010denia was detained in December and then sentenced to six years in prison for alleged contacts with the Black Book of Belarus, a project that keeps tabs on security officers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pro-government media released a video of the man saying he had worked at the interior ministry until 2018 and was arrested for leaking police details.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The KGB has labeled a total of 1,103 people as terrorists.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>August 31,&nbsp;BPN.&nbsp;Belarus&#8217; Committee for State Security (KGB) has added two people to its terrorism list after human rights groups branded them as political prisoners earlier this summer.
