May 11, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Children from Ukraine’s breakaway regions of Donetsk and Luhansk will undergo rehabilitation in Mahilo\u016d, the state-run Mogilevskiye Vedomosti<\/em> newspaper has said on Telegram.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Children who sustained injuries in explosions have already reportedly arrived at the Dubrovienka health resort, where they will stay until May 24 with their family members. Eleonora Fedorenko, Donetsk’s children’s rights representative, accompanies the delegation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Authorities in Minsk supported the Kremlin\u2019s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February 2022 and have been involved in transfers of Ukrainian children from the Russian-held territories of Ukraine for recuperation in Belarus where they have been reportedly subjected to pro-Russian and anti-Ukrainian indoctrination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In March 2023, the International Criminal Court issued an arrest warrant for Russian President Vladimir Putin and Maria Lvova-Belova, Russia\u2019s commissioner for children\u2019s rights, over alleged deportations of children from the occupied territories of Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian pro-democracy forces seek a similar warrant for Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, who admitted the displacement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Five months ago, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies suspended the Belarusian Red Cross as a member for failing to dismiss its secretary general, D\u017amitryj \u0160a\u016dco\u016d, over allegations of involvement in the transfers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
