May 17, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Chairmen of the regional executive committees and the Minsk City Executive Committee have gathered to examine methods of conducting combat operations taking into account modern conflicts, such as the one in Ukraine, said Security Council head Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Widespread use of unmanned aerial vehicles, countermeasures against these unmanned aerial vehicles and widespread use of electronic warfare systems” are being observed there, he said, as quoted by the defense ministry’s press office.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The gathering is relevant in light of new risks and challenges to national security and the geopolitical situation around Belarus, he said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“During these events, we thoroughly explained the situation emerging in the Eastern European Security Region to the officials, including today’s risks and challenges affecting the national security of our country. Problematic issues of territorial defense were considered. Tasks for the relevant academic year were set,” Valfovi\u010d said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
