{"id":87078,"date":"2024-05-25T00:24:29","date_gmt":"2024-05-24T21:24:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/87078\/"},"modified":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","modified_gmt":"2026-02-24T20:40:57","slug":"eu-stops-over-17000-border-violations-from-belarus-ytd","status":"publish","type":"articles","link":"https:\/\/pozirk.online\/en\/news\/87078\/","title":{"rendered":"EU stops over 17,000 border violations from Belarus this year"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>May 25, <em>Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The European Union (EU) stopped 243 attempts to cross its border illegally from Belarus on May 23, almost as many as the day before, according to <em>Pozirk<\/em>&#8216;s analysis of border service statistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Lithuanian State Border Guard Service registered no such attempts, the Latvian State Border Guard registered 17 and the Polish Border Guard registered 226.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So far this year, the EU has stopped 17,071 border violations from Belarusian territory, an increase of 18.4 percent compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In May alone, the three countries registered 5,952 cases.
