May 29, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus needs as many weapons of its own as possible in case of a military conflict, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka said at the Lehma\u0161 plant in Or\u0161a, Viciebsk region. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to him, considerable progress has already been made in this regard.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He mentioned small arms, communications equipment and unspecified new military products manufactured at the plant, his press office reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the Lehma\u0161 website, the company’s output includes cast-iron products, interchangeable equipment for metallurgy, metalware and overalls.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian investigative reporters said it receives orders from the Russian defense industry. They pointed out that D\u017amitryj Pantus, chairman of the State Defense Industry Committee, accompanied \u0141uka\u0161enka on his visit to the plant.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

They also found that products shown to \u0141uka\u0161enka included projectiles for the Grad multiple rocket launchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia is using Grads in its war against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
