June 3, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Poland has imposed sanctions on the Belarusian salt factory Mazyrsol, the Polish interior ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It said the restrictive measures will lead to a reduction in export opportunities for the company and will also affect the amount of funds flowing into the Belarusian budget, as well as the income of individuals and entities supporting Russian aggression and human rights abuses.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior ministry pointed out that Mazyrsol, part of the state-owned Bie\u0142dziar\u017echar\u010dpram group of companies, is associated with Aleh Ejbata\u016d, the factory’s deputy director for security who has been sanctioned by the European Union (EU).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ejbata\u016d used to head Mazyr’s border unit. According to the Polish ministry, his duties included controlling security in the assigned area and the movement of people and goods across the border with Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hienad\u017a Bohdan, Mazyrsol’s former director with a background in the presidential administration, is also mentioned. (The Polish interior ministry named him as the factory’s director).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to open sources, Bohdan headed the company from 2012 to 2016. Mazyrsol’s website lists U\u0142adzimir Dvornik as the current CEO.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mazyrsol became operational in 1982. Belarus’ export of table sold to the EU fell to \u20ac10 million in 2022 from \u20ac22 million in 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
