After all, Belarus\u2019 independence and the preservation of the Belarusian language were of special importance to Byka\u016d,&#8221; Ko\u016d\u0161yk stressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A staunch opponent of \u0141uka\u0161enka, the writer was forced into exile for several years before returning to Belarus a month before he died in 2003.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 19, Pozirk.
