June 20, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The Belarusian State Border Committee has reported that Ukraine is building up forces at the shared border, deploying heavy weapons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Special operations forces, intelligence, heavy weapons, combat vehicles, HIMARS multiple rocket launchers, M777 howitzers and German-made Gepard anti-aircraft guns have been spotted near the border, it noted.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian border guards and troops are on high alert, ready to prevent \u201cprovocations,\u201d the border committee said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cSpecial maneuver groups\u201d equipped with state-of-the-art weapons assist border guards, it added.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In late October, Ukraine said 1,800 Belarusian troops were deployed to the border area under the pretext of drills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
