June 20, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Ten Belarusian airfields, five of which are located near the Ukrainian border, may be used by Russia to attack Ukraine, the Associated Press<\/em> reported<\/a> citing information from Ukrainian intelligence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The article shows a map created by the Ukrainian battlefield analysis website DeepState, on which the sites are marked. Among them is a civilian airport in Homiel, which the map’s authors say can be used for military purposes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Belarus provides sanctuary for Russian bombers,” AP quoted a Ukrainian intelligence official.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to DeepState’s analysis, the Russian Air Force uses a total of 51 airbases within 600 kilometers of Ukrainian-controlled territory, including three in occupied eastern Ukraine, six in the annexed Crimea and 32 in Russia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Russia has accelerated its destruction of Ukraine\u2019s front-line cities in 2024 to a scale previously unseen in the war using Soviet-made glide bombs\u00a0adapted on the cheap with imported electronics, the report says.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 24, 2022, Russia launched a full-scale war against Ukraine, calling it a “special military operation.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the initial stage of the invasion, the Russians actively used Belarusian territory for the ground operation and shelling of Ukrainian territory. Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka has repeatedly expressed his support for the Russian campaign.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
