June 21, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Siarhiej Ma\u0142uno\u016d, who heads the Belarusian department for bilateral cooperation with CIS member states, has handed Narek Tiraturyan, the Armenian charg\u00e9 d’affaires in Belarus, a note of the Belarusian foreign ministry. Its content has not been disclosed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Belarusian foreign ministry reports that the diplomats also “touched on humanitarian topics and emphasized the long-standing friendly connections between the two peoples.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The note comes one day after, Belarusian opposition leader \u015aviat\u0142ana Cichano\u016dskaja’s meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan in Vilnius.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It was the second meeting between Cichano\u016dskaja and Mirzoyan. Seeing him and Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan in Granada in October, the opposition leader voiced her support for the Armenians in connection with an Azerbaijani offensive on Nagorno-Karabakh.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On June 19, the news came in that CSTO foreign ministers will hold their meeting without Armenia. Speaking in Parliament on June 2, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced Armenia’s possible exit from the Russian-led bloc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
