June 24, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> The Institute of Entrepreneurial Activity (IEA) has announced closure on September 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The IEA founder and managers have decided to terminate licensed educational activities” and there will be no admissions this year, the business school said on its website. The current students will be transferred to other institutions “implementing relevant educational programs.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The IEA management and founder are developing an action plan to transfer the students,” it said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A week earlier, the closure of another private school, the University of Law and Social-Information Technologies (BIP), was announced, albeit unofficially. Belarusian media broke the news quoting their readers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both schools have operated in Belarus since the 1990s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In September 2022, Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka told Alaksandar Valfovi\u010d, the top security official, that the education system must be “cleansed.” After the meeting, almost all private kindergartens and schools have been closed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
