June 30, Pozirk<\/em>. <\/strong>Dan Barna, head of the Romanian delegation to the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe\u2019s Parliamentary Assembly (OSCE PA), urged Minsk to stop its support of Russian aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

He also reiterated the call on Belarus to abide by its international obligations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romanians know from their own experience “how important it is for a country to be able to choose its own path and to be free to pursue its goals,” he said. “Ukraine, our neighbor, also wants to continue to be part of the democratic community and to be able to determine its own future.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“My country maintains its firm position: all those responsible for crimes in Ukraine should, and will, be brought to justice,” the MP stressed. “This is our collective responsibility and the legitimate demand of Ukraine and the Ukrainian people.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Romania hosts the 31st OSCE PA annual session from June 29 to July 3. Two weeks ago, it banned Belarusian MPs from participating, citing Minsk’s support of Russia\u2019s aggressive war on Ukraine as the reason.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
