July 9, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The opposition Coordination Council has announced that it will elect its speaker and vice-speaker tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The candidates will be discussed on the council\u2019s YouTube channel for two hours starting at 7 p.m. Members will have 24 hours to vote, and a second round is possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 9, the council voted to approve an amendment to its charter, allowing delegates to combine their mandate with transition cabinet jobs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under the amended charter, the speaker, vice-speaker and secretary are elected by a simple majority.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other leaders are selected using a rating system.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Members can leave or switch factions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some 6,700 registered voters elected the new council on May 25\u201327. The candidates represented eight coalitions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Team \u0141atu\u0161ka and the Movement for Freedom won most of the seats.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
