July 12, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg criticized China yesterday in connection with its participation in a military exercise in Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe Chinese exercise together with Belarusian forces \u2026 just confirms how authoritarian regimes are aligning more and more, and also how China is coming closer to NATO, in Europe, in Africa and the Arctic and elsewhere,\u201d Politico <\/a><\/em>quoted him as saying.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stoltenberg was speaking at the closing press conference after the NATO summit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Polish foreign ministry also reportedly expressed concern about China\u2019s deepening military cooperation with Russia and Belarus \u2014 countries involved in aggression against Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beijing said the maneuvers, which include parachute landing in the Brest region close to Poland and Ukraine, were not directed against third countries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
