He may face criminal charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A man was arrested in Sienica, Minsk district, because of a Pahonia coat of arms image on his garage, the Viasna Human Rights Center said. Police reportedly accused him of participating in 2020 protests and following opposition content, a pro-government source reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A man was arrested for leaving a comment in the Telegram chat of the Kastu\u015b Kalino\u016dski Regiment, a Belarusian volunteer unit fighting Russia in Ukraine, a pro-governmental source said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A Hrodna man is under arrest for participating in 2020 protests and sharing opposition content, the <em>Pravo Imeyut<\/em> Telegram channel reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Criminal proceedings<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Homiel Regional Court sentenced members of The Tor Band, known for its Belarusian patriotic songs, to lengthy prison terms ranging from seven and a half to nine years, on charges of inciting hatred, creating an extremist group and discrediting the state, the Homiel branch of Viasna reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in \u017d\u0142obin, Homiel region, sentenced Alaksiej A\u016ddzieje\u016d to two and a half years in prison for participating in a strike in 2020, the Homiel branch of Viasna reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A judge in Minsk sentenced university lecturers Natalla Silickaja and Nadzieja Staravojtava to three years of restricted freedom in home confinement for participation in 2020 protests, <em>Radyjo Svaboda<\/em> reported. Student dormitory supervisor Alena Drabud\u017aka was given two and a half years on similar charges.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Andrej Mindubaje\u016d was given two and a half years in prison on charges of insulting and slandering Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka online, MAYDAY.TEAM reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>&#8220;Extremist&#8221; content update<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Authorities branded two Telegram channels by Belarusian poet Andrej Chadanovi\u010d as extremist content. Other blacklisted content includes a Telegram channel by Mika\u0142aj Chalezin, head of the Belarus Free Theatre, <em>Radio Racyja<\/em>&#8216;s accounts and logos on Telegram and Facebook, as well as the BY ORG Alternatyva&#8217;s Facebook page, the information ministry said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of November 1, human rights defenders identified at least 1,471 political prisoners but the real number is considerably higher because many cases go undocumented.
