July 15, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Alaksandar Raho\u017enik, the Belarusian ambassador to Russia, has told an investment forum in Chechnya that Russia is expected to transfer a second tranche of 105 billion rubles (about $1.2 billion) to Belarus for import-substitution projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The embassy released a video of his speech today. According to Raho\u017enik, the tranche is being discussed with a focus on high-tech projects,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On July 2, the ambassador announced that Belarus was ready to discuss with Russia an “additional package of funds” after spending 105 billion rubles from Moscow on import substitution projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“A pool of projects has already been formed in the field of microelectronics. Responsibilities have been detailed. These are not only components, but also equipment for the production of microelectronics. Projects are also related to the aircraft industry, machine tool industry, robotics and manufacturing automation,” the diplomat said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
