July 26, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> Law enforcers in Hrodna have arrested a man for posting a video of a queue outside a local vehicle registration office, pro-government Telegram channels reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The video went viral and received many negative comments, prompting Interior Minister Ivan Kubrako\u016d to call the organized crime unit into action to identify those “artificially stirring up” public discontent, according to the voiceover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The interior ministry acknowledged queues at the region\u2019s vehicle registration offices, linking the frenzy to the European Union\u2019s ban on the entry of vehicles that are not driven by their owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A police-linked channel said the man who posted the video was arrested by Typhoon, a special task force formed in May 2023 to fight illegal armed groups and secure the border.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Law enforcers released a video of the detainee\u2019s forced confession that he had signed up for the opposition Pieramoha (Victory) Plan. Police also claimed that he had subscribed to extremist media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The specific charges against him are unknown.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
