July 29, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarusian police have arrested four young people from Latvia and may charge them with drug possession, the Baltic news portal Delfi<\/em> reported citing LETA<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarusian security services can falsely accuse travelers of breaking the law and arrest them, Latvian agencies warned earlier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“According to a social media video, the young people came to Belarus for a festival. Marijuana was allegedly found in their car, and all four were detained,” LETA<\/em> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diplomats told LETA<\/em> that relatives had reported the incident.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Latvian foreign ministry advised citizens against traveling to Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Na\u0161a Niva<\/em>, the arrests were made at an annual music festival in Bras\u0142a\u016d, Viciebsk region.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Earlier this month, Latvian Foreign Minister Baiba Bra\u017ee said<\/a> Belarus and Russia have detained several dozen Latvian nationals this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
