August 2, Pozirk.<\/em><\/strong> Belarus had a surplus of trade in goods with Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries and a deficit with all other countries combined in the first half of 2024, according to the National Statistical Committee (Bie\u0142stat).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign trade in goods rose by 3.8 percent year on year in January-June to $41.56 billion (exports, $19.9 billion; imports, $21.65 billion), with the deficit of $1.75 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Belarus traded $26.72 billion with CIS countries in the first six months (exports, $13.82 billion; imports, $12.89 billion). The surplus decreased by 56.5 percent to $0.93 billion compared with the same period last year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With other countries, trade in goods was $14.84 billion (exports, $6.81 billion; imports, $8.76 billion). The deficit contracted by 32.7 percent to $2.68 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Foreign trade in goods reached $83.42 billion in 2023 (exports, $40.17 billion; imports, $43.26 billion). The deficit was $3.88 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
