Now, it is increasingly working with people who served more than three years. &#8220;That requires more help for them, and therefore more resources,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She listed the basic needs of released prisoners: financial support, employment assistance, retraining, and medical and psychological attention.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>She added that it is necessary to extend the time frame for ex-prisoners to apply for help, as some of them are hesitant to do so immediately.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stankievi\u010d believes it is important to launch comprehensive support programs for the rehabilitation of former political prisoners, which could be backed by the diaspora. &#8220;For example, so that small groups of former political prisoners could leave, receive rehabilitation and return home,&#8221; she said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As of August 4, human rights defenders recognize 1,390 people as political prisoners.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>August 4, Pozirk.
