August 8, Pozirk<\/em>.<\/strong> The Minsk City Court is scheduled to hear a new case against Alaksandar Azara\u016d, head of the ByPol resistance group, on August 19 without the defendant being present.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The man is charged with an act of terrorism, high treason and damaging a transport vehicle.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The indictment suggests that Azara\u016d will be tried for his alleged complicity in the February 2023 attack at the Ma\u010duli\u0161\u010dy military airfield outside Minsk, which damaged a Russian Beriev A-50 (NATO reporting name: Mainstay) airborne early warning and control aircraft.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On February 15, Azara\u016d, an architect of the Pieramoha Plan to oust Alaksandar \u0141uka\u0161enka, was sentenced to 25 years in prison for alleged involvement in an attempt to overthrow the government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
