State-run bus operator launches passenger service between Minsk and Munich

November 13, Pozirk. The state-run bus operator Minsktrans is launching a regular passenger service between Minsk and Germany’s Munich, its press office reports.

The route will start operating on December 6 with one round trip per week, leaving Minsk at noon on Fridays with the return scheduled for Saturday afternoons.

The bus will depart from Minsk’s central bus terminal, covering a distance of about 1,600 kilometers via Berlin and Nuremberg.

Belarus does not currently have rail or air links with the European Union due to Western sanctions introduced against Minsk for human rights abuses and support of Russia’s war on Ukraine.
