Belarus registers Cuban lung cancer vaccine
July 15, Pozirk. Belarus has registered CIMAvax-EGF, Cuba’s lung cancer vaccine, Cuban Foreign Minister Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla announced.
“The biotechnology and pharmaceutical sector in Cuba continues to yield great results, despite the difficulties imposed by the tightening of the US blockade,” he said on X.
Cuba developed CIMAvax-EGF lung cancer treatment in 2011.
Cuba’s delegation headed by Prime Minister Manuel Marrero Cruz discussed the joint production of medicines and simplifying their registration in Belarus during a visit to Minsk last November.
A few months ago, Alaksandar Łukašenka extended a goods-for-medicines barter deal with Cuba for another two years.
