September 24, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka and top security officials have visited the Abuz-Lasnoŭski military training range in the Brest region to discuss drone production and electronic warfare.
“Everyone now sees that there is no war without the UAVs,” his press office quoted him as saying. “Drones are starting to chase soldiers already.”
Drills involving drones should be as close as possible to real combat conditions, he stressed.
The defense monitoring group Biełaruski Hajun has been reporting drone incursions into Belarus over the past three months as Russians targeted Ukraine. In early September, Belarusian air defenses downed several drones over Homiel.
