Łukašenka appoints two ministers, six ambassadors

January 14, Pozirk. Alaksandar Łukašenka has appointed Alaksiej Bahdanaŭ, the antimonopoly minister until recently, as ambassador to Kazakhstan, the Belarusian ruler’s press office reports.

Artur Karpovič, a diplomat who was in charge of the Belarusian embassy’s office in Russia’s Tatartstan, takes over as antimonopoly minister.

The Belarusian leader has placed First Deputy Finance Minister Dźmitryj Kijko in charge of the tax ministry and promoted diplomat Pavieł Uciupin to deputy foreign minister.

Alaksandar Aharodnikaŭ of the industry ministry goes to Uzbekistan as ambassador; his colleague Vital Barčuk, to Cuba; diplomat Juryj Jaraševič, to Israel; former Health Minister Dźmitryj Pinievic, to Azerbaijan; and former foreign ministry’s spokesman Anatol Hłaz, to Turkey.
