Belarus reports 3.1-percent economic growth in Q1

April 17. Pozirk. Belarus’ economy grew by 3.1 percent in January–March 2025 as compared with the same period last year, the National Statistical Committee reports.
Agricultural production across all categories – agricultural companies, farmers and ordinary gardeners – rose by 1.7 percent year on year. The growth slowed from 6.8 percent in the first quarter of 2024.
Industrial output expanded by 2.1 percent and retail sales by 10.8 percent. Meanwhile, the volume of freight transportation decreased by 2.7 percent.
