Chinese vice premier visiting Minsk

May 21, Pozirk. Belarus “annually achieves record levels” in bilateral trade with China despite “illegitimate Western sanctions,” First Deputy Prime Minister Mikałaj Snapkoŭ has said at his meeting with Chinese Vice Premier Liu Guozhong in Minsk.
The government’s press office quoted Snapkoŭ as saying that trade between the two countries doubled in the last five years to $8.6 billion in 2024.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website, trade in goods and services between Belarus and China amounted to $5.3 billion in 2019. It rose to $5.38 billion in 2020 and $5.85 billion in 2021. Belarus has not disclosed trade by country since then.
