June 3, Pozirk. Belarusian Defense Minister Viktar Chrenin has left for Pakistan, where he is expected to meet its military and political leadership, the defense ministry’s press office reports.
The visit aims to boost bilateral defense projects and promote trade and economic ties given the army’s importance for Pakistan’s economy, it noted.
Earlier this year, Alaksandar Łukašenka and Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif signed a military cooperation agreement, while the Belarusian Defense Industry Committee and the Pakistani Ministry of Defense Production approved a military-technical cooperation roadmap for 2025–2027.
