Storm damages 29 Haradok homes
June 9, Pozirk. A thunderstorm with wind gusts of up to 23 m/s hit the Viciebsk region tonight, damaging 29 buildings in the Haradok district, the emergencies ministry reported.
It said the roofs of 27 private homes and two shops in the village of Varchi were damaged.
“Eight units of the emergencies ministry hardware have left for the scene. District response services are at work. The bad weather has injured nobody. The situation is being monitored,” the ministry said.
The Viciebsk Regional Executive Committee’s emergency commission is planning to meet to address the incident.
