July 29, Pozirk. The drone that was downed over Minsk in the early hours of July 29 carried TNT and a large number of ball bearings, Belarus’ Investigative Committee has said.
It has opened a criminal case, noting that the drone damaged several vehicles as it fell. No one was injured.
Earlier, the Ministry of Defense confirmed that electronic warfare units downed the UAV, describing it as “an unidentified aerial target” and “a violator of airspace regulations.”
Human rights defenders report that riot police have made arrests in the area, where it was downed, possibly looking for people who sent pictures to independent media outlets.
