Belarus companies sell 20,000 drones to Russia for $34 million – BIC

September 15, Pozirk. From the beginning of 2022 to June 2025, fourteen Belarusian companies supplied more than 20,000 unmanned aerial vehicles to Russia for $34 million, according to a report by the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC).
It noted that the world’s largest manufacturer of quadcopters is the Chinese company DJI, which holds 70 percent of the market. In 2022, DJI suspended its operations in Russia and Ukraine, but it “remains the most popular brand of drones used in the war—by both sides.”
Human Rights Watch reported in the summer that Moscow is using Chinese UAVs in the war. Its experts identified the drones that the Russian military deployed to attack Kherson.
In May 2022, the Belarusian defense ministry became interested in such drones, according to the BIC. The ministry then decided to purchase 56 DJI Mavic 2 Enterprise Advanced quadcopters. The Minsk-registered Hobby Park (Hobi-Park) was chosen as the supplier. The contract value exceeded 1.8 million rubels (about $700,000).
The BIC claims that Hobby Park “is the largest supplier of aircraft from Belarus to Russia. Its sales totaled $14.3 million.”
“That accounts for about half the value of all drones sold by Belarusian companies to Russia from the start of the full-scale war through June 2025. In 2022, the company’s profit jumped nearly 27-fold to $9.7 million,” the investigation reads.
