October 11, Pozirk. Belarus has launched a series of measures to bring its Armed Forces to the highest level of combat readiness “for the purpose of inspection” at Alaksandar Łukašenka’s orders, the defense ministry’s press office says.
Units will test their combat readiness, redeploy to designated areas and carry out assigned tasks, it said, adding that the State Secretariat of the Belarusian Security Council oversees the exercise.
The Belarusian army is regularly conducting drills amid tensions with the West and Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine, in which Minsk supports Moscow.
