Belarus’ agricultural production down 1 percent in January-September

October 15, Pozirk. Belarus’ agricultural production dropped by 1 percent in comparable prices in January-September year on year, the National Statistical Committee (Biełstat) reported.

By contrast, agricultural output jumped by 5.1 percent in the first nine months of 2024.

Belarusian farms and households produced 1.4 million tons of livestock and poultry, nearly 7 million tons of milk and about 3 billion eggs.

Belarusian farms owed banks 4.5 billion rubels (about $1.5 billion) as of early August, 12.7 percent more than last year, with overdue debt doubling to 19 million rubels.
