Ukraine nationalizes Homsielmaš assets
October 29, Pozirk. Ukraine has seized Homsielmaš’s corporate rights to the Homsielmaš Ukraine Trading House, MTZ-Belarus-Ukraine Trading House and Promiń Yuh, as well as the property rights to trademarks, according to the country’s justice ministry.
The move stems from a ruling by Ukraine’s High Anti-Corruption Court.
The Ministry of Justice filed the lawsuit on October 1 accusing Homsielmaš’s subsidiaries of involvement in the Russian chain of production of ammunition and Shahed-type kamikaze drones Geran-2.
Established in 1930, Homsielmaš mainly manufactures agricultural machines, including combine harvesters.
The BelPol investigative group accused it of involvement in the mass production of shells for the Russian army.
