Putin experienced in launching attacks from Belarus, Zelensky warns

April 1, Pozirk. Russian President Vladimir Putin has experience invading from Belarusian territory, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky told journalists in Ukrainian Bucha, where Russians massacred the peaceful population in 2022.

Zelensky mentioned Belarus while commenting on possible general mobilization in Russia, pointing to Moscow’s mounting frontline losses in recent months.

The Ukrainian leader said that if Russia moves toward general mobilization, everyone in the region should be prepared for broader implications. He warned that such a step could increase pressure on Ukraine and potentially threaten the Baltic states.  

Russia announced partial mobilization in September 2022, triggering a mass exodus of men from the country. Since then, it recruited mostly volunteers for its war against Ukraine.
