Dozens of Belarusian companies involved in Russia’s arms production not under sanctions – BIC
May 8, Pozirk. At least 29 Belarusian companies that supply products to Russian arms manufacturers are not under sanctions, said the Belarusian Investigative Center (BIC) in its new report.
The BIC made the conclusion based on data on deliveries from 58 Belarusian enterprises to 41 Russian arms manufacturers obtained from a source in the logistics sector.
“The chassis, optics, electronics, and components of Russian military equipment and weapons come from Belarus, among other places,” it said. From a source in the logistics sector, the BIC obtained data.
From February 2022 through August 2025, these shipments totaled at least $1.2 billion. In 2024, shipments doubled from the 2022 level.
The investigation was prepared in cooperation with the Ukrainian media Slidstvo.Info and with the support of CyberPartisans and the Rabochy Rukh initiative.
The extensive report details data on supplies from specific manufacturers.
Ukraine’s Main Intelligence Directorate estimated that Russia depends heavily on Belarusian supplies: up to 85 percent for optoelectronic systems, sights, and guidance units; up to 90 percent for wheeled chassis for missile systems and heavy equipment; up to 80 percent for transporter launcher and transporter loader units; up to 20 percent for electronics; and up to 60 percent for instruments, bearings, displays and other dual-use or military-related components.
