Belarus issues orange weather alert for Minsk region

June 11, Pozirk. Belarus’ weather service Biełhidramiet has issued an orange alert for the Minsk region for June 12 in connection with an expected drop in temperatures by seven degrees Celsius.

Air temperature is expected to drop to 14-19C.

The emergency ministry says that colder weather may weaken the immune system and cause a rise in incidence of respiratory infections, especially among children and older people.
