Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 5,484
December 25. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 1,529 from 691,072 on Friday to 692,601 on Saturday, with the death toll rising by 18 from 5,466 to 5,484, according to the country’s health ministry.
The ministry said that a total of 685,039 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 1,636 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.
As many as 10,938,594 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Friday, with 19,577 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.
As of December 24, as many as 4,587,000 people in Belarus had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 3,517,000 people had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
