Belarus’ official coronavirus death toll rises to 5,512

December 27. The total number of confirmed coronavirus infection cases in Belarus increased by 642 from 693,584 on Sunday to 694,226 on Monday, with the death toll rising by 13 from 5,499 to 5,512, according to the country’s health ministry.

The ministry said that a total of 686,768 people had recovered from the coronavirus, and 493 people had been discharged from hospitals over the past 24 hours.

As many as 10,967,864 tests for the coronavirus had been carried out in the country by Sunday, with 8,082 tests conducted in the past 24 hours.

As of December 24, as many as 4,587,000 people in Belarus had already received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and over 3,517,000 people had been fully vaccinated with two doses.
