Belarusian Ministry of Information restricts access to the Ukrainian media Gordon and Obozrevatel

March 1, BPN. Belarusian Ministry of Information has restricted access from Belarus to the Ukrainian media outlets Gordon (created by the famous journalist Dmitry Gordon) and Obozrevatel, the ministry said via its Telegram channel.

According to the Ministry of Information, the reason for restricting access was “dissemination of extremist materials on these websites in violation of Article 38 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus “On Mass Media.”

On March 1, Obozrevatel reported that Belarus has entered Russia’s war against Ukraine, in particular that Belarusian troops have entered the territory of the Chernihiv region.

The same information was published on the Gordon portal.

In the morning of March 1, Aliaksandr Lukašenka once again claimed that the Belarusians are not fighting in Ukraine.

The Ministry of Information also stated that certain social networks and messengers have recently been “actively used to disseminate unreliable and fake news about the events in Ukraine, war propaganda and calls for illegal actions.”
