Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja appoints Kryścina Rychter as legal adviser
December 29, BPN. Opposition leader Śviatłana Cichanoŭskaja has appointed Kryścina Rychter as her legal adviser, Cichanoŭskaja’s Telegram channel reports.
It says that in her new position, Rychter will focus on holding accountable those who violate human rights. She will also devise Cichanoŭskaja’s legal strategy and draft legislation for a transition period.
Rychter had worked as a lawyer in Cichanoŭskaja’s office since mid-2021. She coordinated alternative reporting on Belarus’ implementation of the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
