Snap combat readiness drill begins at Barysaŭ-based training center
January 11, BPN. The Belarusian defense ministry reports that its head Viktar Chrenin has announced a snap combat readiness drill at the 72nd Guards Joint Training Center.
Located in Barysaŭ, Minsk region, it trains warrant officers and main battle tank crews.
In August Alaksandr Łukašenka appointed Colonel Vadzim Suraŭ as head of the training center. His predecessor, Major General Uładzisłaŭ Budzik, was promoted to deputy chief of the General Staff and head of its main organizing and mobilizing department.
